Lyrics:
You Are Waking [Version (a)]:

Longtime zombie
Nothing beating till I met you
Now it's back and racing
And this me wants to grab you
One by one, let's take it all off
One by one, let's strip it down

You are waking
Something sleeping
Something sleeping inside
You are waking
Something sleeping
Something sleeping inside
It's all coming out
It's all coming out
It's all coming out now

Got so good at building illusions
Almost believed they were real
Tried so hard to keep up with the facade
In the end I just wanted to feel
Guess I never let you
See the whole picture
Never let you see the whole of me

You are waking
Something sleeping
Something sleeping inside
You are waking
Something sleeping
Something sleeping inside
It's all coming out
It's all coming out
It's all coming out now

Learnt to live without a heart
Till fourteen years passed in the dark
Pushed down the pain
Painted over the cracks
But you were not afraid
To peel it all back
See, I've become a stranger to my soul
Forgotten what I look like
Underneath it all, my troubled soul

You are waking
Something sleeping
Something sleeping inside
You are waking
Something sleeping
Something sleeping inside
It's all coming out
It's all coming out
It's all coming out now

The Song:

"You Are Waking" is a song on Jamie Lidell's 2010 album, Compass. Beck plays guitar on this one, which is a pretty wild track. It is kind of intense! There's a few guitarists on this song, so not sure what Beck did exactly.

Beck probably co-produced it as well, as some of it sounds a little bit like the percussive tracks he built for Charlotte Gainsbourg. (The album credits don't distinguish which songs Beck produced or not, just that he co-produced some of them.) Since he does play guitar, it's likely he was a producer.

Also, FYI, there's an official remix of "You Are Waking" by Bill Youngman. It was released as a b-side. I don't think Beck's guitar or production work would be carried on to this remix so it wasn't added to this site on its own.
