Notes:
Beck's track was "recorded with Tom Grimley at Poop Alley Studio in Los Angeles, CA, June 1994."

Producer Pat Maley's message from the liner notes:
I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has send [sic] me letters and tapes and gifts. Especially the stolen Denny's mug and the genderless 8 track playing robot. I'd also like to say that I'm very sorry that I haven't written back to everyone. I never expected that much mail.

In the past two Yoyo compilations I wrote a lot about myself and my studio. Really there isn't much to what I do. I just place mics, set levels and listen, and by far listening is the most important part. I am proud of what I've been able to do so far with Yoyo; however, I think it is important to note that the elements that makes [sic] these records so vital are the bands and the music.

For some reason I thought it would be good to mention a statistic that was taught to me when I first started doing radio shows at KAOS here in Olympia: 98 % of all record sales in this country go to profit seven major record labels and their subsidiaries. The other 2% is divided between 2000 independent labels. I know there's a good chance that those figures are no longer accurate, but I think it's safe to say that things haven't gotten much better. Please write to me with correct information if you have it.

Big money and art make very strange bed-mates. It seems obvious to me that gearing the creative process for profit never really works. At the same time, I can understand an artist wanting to sign to a major record label because they want to be able to make their living doing the work they love to do. I just hate what fame and fortune can sometimes do to people, and I especially hate what it did to one of our peers last April in Seattle.

Pat Maley, June 1994.

Notes:
The previous listing there is for purple vinyl. This listing is for an eBay listing of it on black, which said it was rare. Don't know how rare, or if it was a new pressing edition, or which came first, or what, or why it exists, or whether there's a God, or why Beck never plays anything from Mutations anymore.
